Tide Changes in the Rainy Season
Sundays Beach Club, located right on the sandy shores of Bali’s southernmost tip, offers a unique experience. The club’s beachfront location means that the tides and beach conditions are always creating a distinct vibe every time you visit!
February to April Tide Changes
Between February and April of each year, the tides tend to be higher and the currents stronger. Our beach can look different depending on the season and, at this time of year, the sands are affected by the rainy season.
When the tide meets the ravine of excess rainwater brought to us at this time of year, the tide actually causes sand to be washed away for a time, changing the look of our beach, before returning a couple of weeks later. This wash-up and rebuild process is a perfectly natural phenomenon that keeps our beach healthy and clean.
How to Stay Informed of Our Tides
To help you plan your visit, we keep you updated on how the tides are affecting Sundays:
- Monthly Tide Schedule: Check our Tide Chart for the long-term forecast.
- Weekly Tide Updates: We share these on our Instagram Stories and Highlights, along with suggestions for activities that are best at specific tide times (think watersports, swimming, or just chilling on the beach).
We try to provide the most accurate and updated information on tides, but being an experience based in nature, we’re at the mercy of it and some unpredictable tides, while rare, do happen.
